2007 SEASON START DATE - TUESDAY

We are happy to announce that
the 3rd season of St. Pete
Dragon Youth Lacrosse will begin
on Tuesday January 9th at 6:30pm
at
Meadowlawn. Practices will
be held on Tuesday
and Thursday nights from 6:30-8:30pm,
and Saturdays from 11:00am to
1:00pm. We will
be fielding the following teams:
1. Youth - boys and girls
through grade 5 (no contact)
2. Middle School - boys and
girls grade 6-8 (minimal
contact) 3. Girls High School - girls in grades
7-12 (girls grade 6 and under
option available)
4. Boys High School - boys in grades
9-12 (full contact)
Registration: Player
registration will be held during
practice on Saturday January

will also have an equipment
supplier present with equipment
to purchase. If you are
new the sport, feel free to come
out to practice on January 9th
and 11th to give it a try. There
will be extra sticks available

ST PETE MENS SUMMER PICKUP GAMES
June 1st, 2006
- The St Petersburg Lacrosse
Club will be hosting summer
pickup games on Friday nights
from June 16th to July 28th.
The games are open to all high
school, collegiate, and

cost will be $25 per person for
the entire summer. The games

PRACTICE INFO FOR 2006 SEASON
Jan. 4th, 2006
- We are happy to announce that
the 2nd season of St. Pete
Dragon Youth Lacrosse will start
next week. As we did last
season, we will field three
teams this year:
1. Youth Team - open to boys and
girls through grade 7 (minimal
contact);
2. Girls High School team - open
to girls in grades 8-12 (no
contact - NCAA women's rules);
3. Boys High School team - open
to boys in grades 8-12 (full
contact).
We will start practice next week
for the boys and girls high
school teams only. Practice will
be at Meadowlawn field (6050
16th St. North, St. Pete, behind
Northeast High School). For NEXT
WEEK ONLY, we will practice on
Monday and Wednesday night from
6:30 - 8:30pm. After next week,
we will practice every Tuesday
and Thursday night from 6:30 -
8:30pm for the Youth and Boys
High School teams. Practice for
the Youth team begins Tuesday
night, January 17th. Practice
after next week for the Girls
High School team will be every
Monday and Thursday night from
6:30 - 8:30pm. We will also have
Saturday practices for all teams
from 11am to 2pm starting
Saturday, January 21.

LACROSSE IS COMING TO ST PETERSBURG.....
Sept. 1st, 2004 -
The St Petersburg Lacrosse Club (SPLC)
Executive Committee began
distributing fliers this week throughout the City
of St Pete in search of players for
the upcoming 2005 lacrosse season. The
committee is searching for boys and
girls ages five years old to High
School seniors to compete in the
West Florida Lacrosse League (WFLL).
The WFLL will begin it's third
season in February 2005 after two
extremely successful seasons.
Existing programs in the WFLL include
Clearwater, South Tampa, Brandon,
Wesley Chapel, Sarasota/Bradenton,
and Citrus Park, along with
additional High School teams such as Tampa
Catholic, Plant, Newsome, Freedom,
and the Tigers Lacrosse Club (Jesuit
students). The High School
division also plans to expand next season
to include Ft Myers and Naples
teams.
A free clinic is scheduled for
October 16th, 2004 at the
Meadowlawn
fields in St Pete (6050 16th St
North, St Pete), which will also be our
home fields for practices and games
when the season starts in February. Former High
School and College
players will be on hand to teach
newcomers how the game is played and
to answer any questions parents or players might have.
If you do not have a lacrosse stick
for the clinic, not a problem. There will be extras
sticks at the clinic for everyone to use.
West Florida Lacrosse League
- The WFLL season officially begins on
January 18th, and finishes on May 1st, 2005.
All St Pete teams listed below will
be included in the WFLL season.
The High School team is projected to
play 15 to 20 games, and the rest
of the teams will play 10 to 12.
League meetings will begin in
November 2004 to confirm the actual game
schedules. Practice will begin on
Tuesday February 1st at
Meadowlawn
and will run weekly on Tuesdays and
Thursdays from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, and
on Saturdays from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Games
will begin the first week of March
and will be scheduled in place of
various practice days throughout
season. The seasons for all
teams will end on "championship
weekend", which will be held on
April 30th and May 1st.

Player Registration -
Player
Registration is $90 per player

practice on January 18th. Lacrosse equipment is also
required but not included in the
registration fee. Full equipment
packages can be purchased through
the team for as low as $200.
