REC. TEAM TO BEING PRACTICE MONDAY FEBRUARY 1ST
Jan. 30th, 2010 - The inaugural Recreation team season is scheduled to begin on Monday February 1st at 6:30pm at Azalea Field. All interested boys and girls in kindergarten through third grade are welcome to join at any point in the season, which runs through to the end of April.  The team will play in full gear, but not for the first week of the season.  All that is required for the first week is a lacrosse stick (extra sticks will be available if needed). IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE START OF THE SEASON
Jan. 10th, 2010 - Here is the information regarding the start of the season..... 

High School Boys - First practice is 1/11/2010 and will practice on Monday’s, Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s, Thursday’s, and Saturday’s.  Weeknights are 6:30pm through 8:30pm, and Saturday is 9:30am to 11:30am. 

High School Girls - First practice is 1/19/2010 and will practice Monday and Wednesday in St Pete, and Tuesday and Thursday in Clearwater.

 Middle School Boys - First practice is 1/12/2010 and will practice on Tuesday’s, Thursday’s, and Saturday’s.  Weeknights are 6:30pm through 8:30pm, and Saturday is 9:30am to 11:30am.

 Youth - First practice is 2/4/2010 and will start out practicing on Thursday’s and Saturday’s only.  Thursday’s are 6:30am through 8:30pm, and Saturday is 9:30am to 11:30am.   We may add another day to the practice schedule, which the coach will communicate to the players and parents.  The youth level is for boys and girls in full gear with boys sticks, and there is no contact allowed at this level.

Rec. - First practice is 2/1/2010 and will start out practicing on Monday’s only (6:30am to 8:00pm).   We may add more days to the schedule, which the coach will communicate to the players and parents.  The Rec. level is for boys and girls in full gear with boys sticks, and there is not contact at all.  They will play on a shortened field with small goals and no goalies.  Please talk to your coach at practice regarding player registration.

 **Note:  If you do not have gear, or have not sent in your player registration form, you can speak to your coach at practice regarding the details.  Also at practice your coach can help guide you with getting all of the required gear.

 PLAYER REGISTRATIONS STILL OPEN
Jan. 7th, 2010 - Player registrations will continue through February.  If you are interested in joining one of the Dragons teams you can either mail a registration form or give it to the coach of your team at your first practice.

PRESEASON REGISTRATION DATE CONFIRMED
Dec. 7th, 2009 - Player registration will be held on Wednesday December 16th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Walter Fuller Rec. Center (7891 26th Ave North, St Pete).  Registrations can also be mailed in using the this form.  Just a reminder that aside from the player registration you will need an annual US Lacrosse membership and a City of St Pete rec. membership.  All of the required forms can be found on the Dragons website under the forms section.  All of this information is only required for all of the Dragons teams except the new Rec. team, which includes boys and girls in K through 3rd grade since the expenses for this age group will be much lower than the other teams.

2010 SEASON PLANNING
Nov. 17th, 2009 - Planning for the 2010 season is underway.  A player registration meeting is planned for mid December, and the details will be posted and emailed out as soon as the venue is confirmed.  For more information email info@stpetelacrosse.com.
